Archipelago Workshop

For a whole week, 5 pupils in the euro section of the secondary school, participating in our Erasmus+ project “Archipelago”, worked on the theatre workshop organised with the Lille-based company Eolisonge, the project’s artistic partner.

The workshop was animated by Marc Duport, actor. He was joined at the end of the week by Thierry Poquet, artistic director and by Iain Finlay Macleod, Scottish author who will be associated with the writing of “Archipelago”.

“Iain Finlay writes for theatre, radio and television in both English and Gaelic. His work has been performed in a number of countries. He previously worked with Director Thierry Poquet on ‘St Kilda – The Opera’ which was performed simultaneously in five different countries, in four different languages. Some of  his other plays include ‘Somersaults’ (National Theatre of Scotland), ‘The Pearlfisher’ and ‘I was a Beautiful Day’ (Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh). He is also a documentary filmmaker, mainly working for the BBC. Iain Finlay lives on the Isle of Skye in Scotland.”
