The second meeting of our Erasmus + project “Happier Youth in a Healthier EU” took place from 16 to 22 June at the Werner von Siemens Gymnasium in Bad Harzburg. 8 pupils from the second year of secondary school, accompanied by Hervé Escario, sports teacher and Frédéric Rousselle, director of OEC International, took part in this meeting. The theme: “Healthy Food”.
After a train journey via Brussels, Cologne, Hannover and finally Bad Hartzburg, we met our host families on the station platform.
The programme for the week at the school included – Presentation of the different participants, their school and their city, prepared beforehand by each partner. – Work on the project – Cooking session for all in order to prepare a barbecue at the school where the parents of all the host families were invited, reflection on eating habits – Participation in certain courses. – Visit to Bad Hartzburg but also to Goslar, to the mines of Rammelsberg (the historical centre of the town and the mines are a world heritage site) and to Berlin (visit to the futurium https://futurium.de/en).
Next project meeting in October in Turkey in Istanbul with our Dutch, Turkish, Spanish and German partners.
