After our trip to Dortmund from 8 to 14 May, our partners from GADSA (Gymnasium Am der Schweizer Allee) were welcomed in Lille from 6 to 12 June.
Accompanied by Mrs König and Mrs Blümel, the 12 participating pupils were, as in Dortmund, accommodated in the families of their partner.
The theme of the project was the common industrial heritage of our two regions (Nord Rhein Westfalen and Hauts de France) and the resistance to totalitarianism.
After visiting Zeche Zollern and the Steinwache in Germany, we went to the mine museum in Lewarde and the Resistance museum in Bondues. The pupils were able to highlight this heritage and this common memory on the project’s padlet.
During a discovery rally, the group was also able to visit the city of Lille, but also Nausicaa in Boulogne/Mer, and the Cap Blanc Nose and Cap Gris Nose…where some brave men and women even took a swim!
There too, we have made a date for a new exchange next year with this new German partner. We will go to Dortmund from 27/11/2022 to 05/12/2022, we will welcome our partners from 26/02/2023 to 05/03/2023
